We adore our delicious lunchtime breaks at our local SoWal eateries.

When the staff lunches, it’s time for us to check in with our partners, talk about upcoming plans, and just catch up. Last Friday Lisa and I decided to pop into Local Catch to see what’s new.

New menu items are on deck to be added this spring. Raw oysters and frozen cocktails to name two. And Local Catch always has great daily specials for lunch and dinner. The staff is always super friendly and decked out in the latest LC gear.

Local Catch has something for everyone: tacos, wings, big salads, burgers and creative entrees with fresh seafood and lots of flavor. Jimmy and Adam (co-owners) have really mastered the art of the shareable lunch. They are also very friendly and welcoming. They are doing what they love and it shows!

After intense study of the enticing menu, we decided on the fried shrimp tacos with chips and pico de gallo, and an order of wings with homemade Crystal beurre blanc sauce. The tacos were piled high with fried shrimp and slaw dressed in the house white sauce, and the pico is always as fresh as it gets.

Another popular shareable item on the menu is the seafood platter. It has it all: 6 oz grouper fillet, crab cake, crab claws, fried oysters and a side.

Local Catch is open daily for lunch, dinner and drinks on Scenic 30A in Santa Rosa Beach, just a bit east of Gulf Place at Hwy 393. Be sure to check out their Facebook page and the SoWal Music Calendar to see who’s playing. Visit localcatch30a.com to see menus and more.

Local Catch is often our first choice when the stomach rumbling starts at the SoWal office and we’re never disappointed  – join us there (map link)!
